How to Get a Commission

Commission enquiries must be sent via my Commission Form.

My Patrons get advanced notice on commissions and often fills the commission queue before it's open to the public. If you want a commission without waiting months/years, I recommend pledging.

Social Media

I will not post NSFW illustrations on my main art accounts, but I may post it cropped (or the SFW version if you commission one). I may also post it elsewhere. The default is to tag the commissioner - client anonymity is possible upon request.

Terms of Service

Client Requirements

• Client must be above the legal age (18+)

• You must be available and reply to my emails within 24 hours (weekends excluded). 

• All references must be provided before the commission starts. I can work from visual and/or written references. Please only include the information I actually need - I don’t need to know who the mother of their grandfathers’ cousin is. 

• The invoice will be sent immediately after you’ve agreed to the terms and must be paid in full within 24 hours.

• Read the Terms of Service in full.

• When the commission is completed, post only the watermarked version online.

Rights and Ownership

• All rights and ownership of the artwork remain with the artist. Rights, licences and ownership can be purchased at additional cost.

• The commissioned artwork is for personal use only.

• Limited usage licence is given to the client. You cannot alter, modify, distribute or use it for commercial purposes. This includes but is not limited to: selling the artwork in any way shape or form, using the artwork as a business logo, using the artwork to promote your business/book/website etc. I draw this for you to cherish, use as your social media avatar, put on your OC pages and print out and hang it up on your room.

• Minor changes such as cropping or adding text are allowed.

• Do not edit out my signature.

• If you wish to post a commission from me in an online gallery, you must include “by Naariel” in the title and post the watermarked version.

• I may alter, modify and post the illustration on social media, patreon, sell it in my shops, create merchandise, etc. unless agreed otherwise.

Payment

• Payment via Paypal.

• The invoice will be sent immediately after you confirm to the terms of service. (Step 1: You submit request. Step 2: I email back with specifics. Step 3: You confirm. Step 4: Invoice sent.)

• Invoice must be paid in full within 24 hours unless agreed otherwise.

• I will not work past the sketch stage until payment is received in full.

• Roughly 4.2% of the total price are PayPal fees (varies depending on your country).

• All PayPal transactions are subject to the PayPal Privacy Policy.

• Tips are very welcome! My invoices allow tips to be added with the payment. You can also send tips via my Ko-Fi! ko-fi.com/naariel

• Payment plans can be arranged. However, the invoice in its entirety must be paid within 24 hours after the 1st sketch. Just let me know in your form if you wish for a payment plan.

Cancellations and Refund

You may cancel your commission at any time for a 90% refund if: the cancellation is requested at least 48 hours before starting date. After that point, I’m afraid no refund is possible.
If I fail to complete a commission due to illness or any other reason, refund will be paid in full. 

Technical Information/Drawing Process

• You will receive two digital images of the finished painting. One high resolution version, and one lower resolution version for posting online.

• My default canvas is A2 with 300dpi.

• Process pictures and updates, sent on email/twitter. 

• Average turnaround time from sketch to finish may vary. Contact me for deadlines or estimated date of completion.

• No guns that aren’t in game. If they are in game, it’s fine.

Corrections/Revisions

Corrections are welcomed at any point during the painting process - but I’d like to be notified as soon as possible of any changes you may want.

Commissions are eligible for 1 final revision immediately after the finished product is sent. Revisions and changes thereafter will cost £10+, depending on how much time and effort the change will be.

I am only human and I can read wrong/make a mistake. Please look carefully over your commission to make sure I got everything right.

Retention of Images and Files

I will store the files 6 months after completion. If you lose your print after that, I cannot guarantee I still have it.

Prints and Merchandise

Prints are printed on 280 gsm Satin Pearl Photo Paper with or without white border. (Standard is without.)

• A5 £   5

Please note a small signature (not watermark) will be present on the final print. Contact me for a quote on larger sizes and quanities.

Shipping

Shipping will depend on the size and which shipping option you’d like. Most countries allow for your print to be tracked, though not all.

Let me know if you want tracking or not and I’ll let you know the shipping costs.

I can only replace a print that’s been lost/damaged if you choose with tracking.

Europe: 3-7 Working Days
World: 5-15 Working Days

These are the times provided by the Post Office. I cannot control the speed of delivery nor be held responsible for any delays caused by the postal services.

Last But not Least

All articles of this Terms of Service are applicable unless specifically outlined within the final written agreement between Client and Artist.
